This year GOV ED levels up on his peace initiatives, with Global presidents. In the first meeting last Aug 24 we brainstormed on each of the club's unique peace project as their personal legacy for PEACE.
The spirit behind W.A.VE.S. FOR PEACE encourages and supports clubs who participate to create and drumbeat their own peace initiatives.

This is a District-wide participation led by our Governor Ed Alvarez with Global presidents and District Officers in various service avenues fulfilled. Gov Ed will deliver his keynote peace message.
Early planning of club presidents at this time brings them to showcase their projects on peace with literacy value for International Literacy event on Sept 8 under the booth of W.A.V.E.S FOR PEACE and on October 1, 2010 for Vocational celebration if said peace project has a vocational component.
On October 30, 2010, the various peace projects of clubs will be showcased in tarp ads and acknowledged during the seminar on conflict resolutions and peace consciousness seminar.
This event preludes the the District's "Global Peace Summit" on March 3, 2011. with DCC Johnny Carlos and Peace Chair Mon Veluz.
To grace our event on October 30 are DGE Billy Villareal, DGN Sue Santamaria, District Officers DS Jay Tambunting, AG Beth Rabuy, DDS Lilibeth de la Cruz, AGs Chochit Tobias, Roque Tordesillas, and other District officers passionate about integrating peace principles in their respective service avenues.

USEC: Bi-annual Shoppers' Day Bazaar, Fellow Rotarians
The U.S. Embassy Club (USEC) has been serving less fortunate Filipinos for 45 years through volunteerism and donations. The bi-annual Shoppers' Day Bazaar is their primary source of income. The threat of Pepeng hitting Manila on October 3 made us reschedule our 59th bazaar until October 24. Now we need even better attendance and raffle ticket sales to pay for contractor reschedule charges and to continue our local charity work.
Admission P100
PLEASE forward to all your friends. Your help WILL make a difference.
